Mary of Magdala tells Peter and the beloved disciple about the empty tomb and the race down to see for themselves. They entered the empty tomb and saw the burial cloths and believed, yet they did not understand the Scripture that Jesus had to rise from the dead. If Peter can have faith and believe in the resurrected Lord and still have questions and not fully understand; this gives me hope. The resurrected Lord is alive and helping me grow in understanding.

I would like to offer my compliments to you for what I think was an extraordinary homily. It was very moving. I felt it was deeply intellectual and thought-provoking, but you delivered it without any trace of pretentiousness, and presented the themes in a way that anyone could understand.
The sermon was maybe the best I’ve ever heard.
I feel fortunate that Becky and the kids are part of your parish.
